SQCC Hosts a Group of Students from Foreign Service Institute (FSI) – United States Department of State

On 10 February, SQCC hosted a group of students from Foreign Service Institute (FSI) – United States Department of State. Students toured SQCC’s permanent exhibition, where they learned about traditional Omani attire and handicrafts such as pottery, basketry, and silver artwork. Students also learned about the historical importance of the aflaj irrigation system, forts, and maritime trade. After the tour, the group listened to a lecture about Omani culture, people, traditions, and environment. Finally, students asked many questions on Oman’s tradition, environment and tourism, SQCC’s programs and SQCC’s mission in the US.
