SQCC visits Burrville Elementary School for the fifth session of the Embassy Adoption Program

On Monday 28 January, SQCC visited the fifth graders of Burrville Elementary School for fifth session of the Embassy Adoption Program (EAP), a partnership program between DC Public Schools and Washington Performing Arts. Students learned about climate change in the world and its effect globally and in Oman in particular, through a presentation delivered by SQCC staff. Students made their own mini gardens by planting small cacti in terrariums to visualize and experience the similarities between the ecosystems in both Oman and parts of the U.S. Later this year, these students will use what they have learned at SQCC to represent Oman at EAP’s Mini-UN at the Reagan Center.
