About the Event

On April 3rd, SQCC welcomed 12 master’s students from Georgetown University DC. During their visit, they explored SQCC’s exhibition to learn about Omani culture and history. Students also discovered things like the Aflaj irrigation system, Oman’s maritime history, the importance of frankincense in hospitality, forts, traditional clothing, crafts, and SQCC’s programs. Later on, students visited the library, where they checked out books in Arabic and English and asked about the library’s services.

Additionally, they attended a presentation on Omani – U.S. Relations in past and present. They learned about Oman’s foreign policy, its relationship with the United States, future goals, and the economy.
