Adel B Korkor MD is a physician, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.
Adel has suffered from anxiety and panic disorder since his twenties. Following a major panic attack he experienced when he was in his late thirties and after failing several drugs, he discovered the value of running to keep it under control. By the time he turned seventy, he had run nearly 25,000 miles.
In 2017, he established the AB Korkor Foundation for Mental Health. A foundation focusing on emphasizing the role of physical activities in mental health. He strongly believes in the power of movement and of the deep connection between the muscle and brain cells and inter connectivity, hence numerous mental functions and emotions. The flagship event of the foundation is an annual run/walk of 5 kilometers in all fifty states in fifty consecutive days “The Five Fifty Fifty.” Thousands of individuals have participated all across the nation.
