Embassy Adoption Program 2023 Capstone Event with Bancroft Elementary School

SQCC and the Embassy Adoption Program (EAP) concluded the 2022-2023 academic year with Bancroft Elementary School students presenting their Capstone project on 13 June. The presentation opened with the playing of the National Anthem of Oman. Students shared what they learned about Oman during the school year, in the form of PowerPoint presentations.

The event was attended by His Excellency Moosa bin Hamdan Al Tai, Ambassador of Oman to the U.S, SQCC’s Interim Executive Director, Bancroft Elementary School’s teachers, and representative of the Embassy Adoption Program.

One group of students presented on Arabic language, others on the Aflaj irrigation systems, other students presented on frankincense and Majmar painting artwork.

The memorable visit included each student receiving a framed gift of his/her name written in Arabic, a certificate of successful participation in the EAP program as well as a water bottle with SQCC’s Logo.

Finally, students and their teachers enjoyed a light lunch at SQCC and took pictures at the selfie station with Bahla Fort banner, where they tried on Omani outfits.
