SQCC hosts Young Professionals in International Affairs(YPIA)

SQCC hosted a group from the Young Professionals in International Affairs (YPIA) on August 26. YPIA strives to be a place for young and young at heart professionals from all backgrounds to create an interconnected global community that actively engages on international affairs in a multifaceted way, creating a better understanding of the world around them. The group began their visit with a tour at SQCC’s permanent exhibition. During the tour, the group learned about Omani history, traditional handicrafts, and dress. After the tour the group listened to a lecture about Omani culture, which focused on traditions, social norms, and the Omani environment. After a Q& A session, the group concluded their visit by touring the SQCC summer exhibition Tolerance, Understanding, and Coexistence: Oman’s Message of Islam.
