SQCC Hosts Lecture with Co-Owners of Maydan

On 7 August, local connoisseurs of food and culture came to SQCC to attend an afternoon lecture titled “Oman: A Journey Through Food and Hospitality” with the co-owners of one of D.C.’s hottest new restaurants, Maydān.

Co-owners of  Maydān, Ms. Rose Previte and Mr. Chris Morgan, who is also co-executive chef, delighted the audience by sharing vibrantly rich stories, accompanied by stunning photographs, from their travel to Oman in July 2018. The culinary excursion led them across the Sultanate on a quest to discover Oman’s diverse culinary world and to find gastronomic inspiration for the menus of their highly-acclaimed restaurants. They found not only amazing food in Oman but warm hospitality, stunning landscapes, and a rich and unique culture they hope more people will soon discover.
