SQCC Hosted Majmar Painting Workshop at UHCL Arts School
On Monday 21 October, SQCC visited University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Art School in Clear Lake, Texas. A group of homeschool students learned about frankincense and its role in Omani history and culture. After learning about frankincense, students got to experience Omani culture firsthand by painting replicas of majmars (frankincense burners) and took them home as souvenirs from SQCC’s visit.
