Professional Development Business Arabic Immersion Workshop

On 20 September, GW-CIBER and SQCC co-hosted the Professional Development Business Arabic Immersion Workshop for Arabic language instructors. The workshop was led by Dr. Mohssen Esseesy, GW Professor of Arabic and International Affairs. Discussion sessions were held on teaching business Arabic and developing short-term study abroad programs for the purpose of teaching business Arabic. Following a quick lunch break and a short tour of SQCC’s permanent exhibition, an additional session on developing curricula for Arabic courses based on real-world contexts was led by Dr. Abeer Al-Mohsen, the Arabic Language Program Specialist at SQCC.
