Omani Minister and U.S. Chamber of Commerce

On 26 September, SQCC and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce jointly hosted a networking reception featuring special keynote speaker, His Excellency Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Sultanate of Oman. The event began with a brief networking reception followed by short introductory remarks by SQCC’s Senior Program Officer Dr. Harrison Guthorn, by Senior Vice President, Middle East and Turkey Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Mr. Khush Choksy, and by Her Excellency Ambassador Hunaina Al Mughairy. The event concluded with a talk given by His Excellency Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, which focused on the role of industrial development in shaping the modern economy of Oman. His address also highlighted current economic development plans underway in the Sultanate and future prospects for increased economic ties between the U.S. and the Sultanate of Oman via trade.
