Oman Night at Maydan

On 10 September, friends of SQCC and foodies alike gathered at Maydān restaurant for Oman Night. This special event featured an Oman-inspired menu with a flavors inspired by Oman’s maritime heritage. Designed by Chef Chris Morgan and co-owner Rose Privete, each dish was prepared as an homage to the meals they had shared with local Omanis during a trip to the Sultanate in 2018. Traveling throughout the Sultanate, they were welcomed into Omani family homes and kitchens where authentic recipes that had been passed down through generations in Oman were shared. Many of these recipes, combinations of spices, and culinary techniques were meticulously followed to make Oman night a remarkable evening.
