Dr. Ali Akaak is a Fulbright Visiting Scholar currently based at the University of Arizona, where his research focuses on developing a marketing strategy to position Oman as a long-haul destination in the U.S. travel market. His presentation spans Oman’s cultural heritage, regional diversity, sustainable tourism vision, and the historic friendship between Oman and the United States — a relationship spanning more than 190 years.
