Thursday, March 16, 2017
SQCC welcomed students from the Meade High-Middle School Arabic classes on 16 March. During the visit to SQCC, students first listened to a lecture on Omani culture. After the lecture, students expanded their understanding of Oman’s cultural history by touring the exhibition space where they learned more about the aflaj irrigation system, Omani forts, and Oman’s close relationship with the sea. Students also learned about Omani handcrafts such as pottery, basketry, silver artwork and woodworking.
